Like the girls before them the boys of Bucklin-Macon County would start the season trying to tame some Tigers. The Raiders offense started with a bang, Colton Jackson kicked off the scoring with a 3-pointer. Conner Passig would then collect a pair of jumpers to take an early 7-0 lead. The Tigers would end the streak with a pair of free-throws but Jackson had another bomb to answer for the Raiders, 10-2. The Tigers would claw back with a six point run to move within a bucket. Connor would end the run with a jumper but the Tigers would pull ahead with the next 5 points to lead after one quarter 12-13. Sonny Dow would put the Raiders back on top with a bucket to open the second period. Keytesville would respond with a long run to close out the first half. At the buzzer the Tigers would hold a 19-41 lead on B-MC. Keytesville would add 4 more points to their advantage to start the 2nd half. Connor would collect four points with a pair of free-throws and a put back to help stem the tide. Dow would add his own put back and a free-throw to try and keep the Raiders within shouting distance at 26-59. Dow would splash another trey to add to his totals but the Tigers came back with an eight point run. Bryce Passig put in a pair of free-throws to close out the Raiders scoring in the quarter but hey now trailed 31-69. The Tigers scored yet again the open the final frame but the Raiders would not go quietly into the night. Connor put in a layup that would be followed with a jumper and a free-throw from his older brother Bryce. It was not going to be enough to close the gap, B-MC took the opening night loss 36-72.
