Linda R. Tuttle

Linda R. Tuttle, 58, of Macon, MO, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at the Samaritan Hospital in Macon.

Linda was born on August 29, 1959, at the Samaritan Hospital, in Macon, the daughter of Robert “Cotton” and Alberta (Brown) McQuitty. She was united in marriage to Gary Tuttle on July 1, 1980 in Macon. Linda was a 1977 graduate of Macon High School and directly after high school started at Samaritan memorial hospital as a CNA. While working as a CNA Linda graduated in 1979 from MACC as an LPN. While working full time as an LPN and with two young children at home Linda again decided to go back to school. She graduated in 1992 from NMSU, now Truman State, with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and eventual became a certified emergency room nurse. Later in her career she was given the honor of teaching nursing for the nursing program at MACC in Moberly Missouri. Linda was very proud that she was a charter member of the Crossroads Christian Church and was known at Shelby County Christian Assembly, her favorite camp, to be the Ultimate dorm mom. She loved spending time with her friends and family, particularly her grandchildren and Arlo, she loved traveling, especially out West, she loved riding her motorcycle. She loved watching Laramie and Ice Road Truckers with Israel and shopping with Jessica Dove. She also loved Jesus, and it would be her sincere hope that all those she cared about, and everyone else, would come to know the love, hope, joy, and peace that she knewbecause of her relationship with Him.

Linda is survived by her husband, Gary; two children, Nicholas Tuttle and his wife Jessica Lynn of Clinton, IL, and Jessica Dove Skinner and her husband Aaron of Marceline, MO; five grandchildren, Israel Jacob Tuttle, Isaac James Tuttle, Bella Grace Tuttle, Braelyn Hope Tuttle, and Devon Skinner; two brothers, Steve McQuitty and his wife Marcy of Souix Falls, SD, and Don McQuitty and his wife Chris of Cameron, MO; two sisters, Millie Marietta and her husband Lee of Mt. Zion, IL, and Lana McQuitty-Owens and her husband Jim of Macon; sister-in-law, Becky McQuitty of Williamsville, MO; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Gary McQuitty; nephew, Wade McQuitty; and sister-in-law, Beverly McQuitty.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, October 13, 2017, at the Crossroads Christian Church in Macon, with her son Nick Tuttle and Tim Worstell officiating. Burial will be in the Locust Grove Cemetery in Callao, MO. Visitation will be from 12:30 until the time of service on Friday at the church. Family suggests memorials to the Randy Johnson Memorial Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon.
