Harry Thomas “Tom” Hedrick

Harry Thomas “Tom” Hedrick, age 83 of Marceline, died Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Boone Hospital, Columbia. Tom was born at Marceline, Missouri on April 29, 1933 to Harry Herbert and Anna Florence (Tetlow) Hedrick. He married Gladys Josephine Nannemann on July 14, 1956 at Wien.

Tom was a Veteran of the United States Army. He had worked for the City of Marceline for 23 years and before that at Linn County Lumber. He was a member of the St Bonaventure Catholic Church and the Marceline Eagles Lodge.

He is survived by two sons, Tommy Hedrick and Myron Hedrick, both of Marceline, two daughters, Patricia Dorrell and Bryon, Marceline and Joetta Fite and Gary, St. Catherine, stepson Dwayne Johnson, eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and his beloved dogs Hannah and Blue. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Wesley Hedrick, sister Marjorie Leopold, grandson Butch Dorrell and stepson Dennis Johnson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, September 10, 2016 at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Wien. Burial with Military Honors will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Wien. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Friday, September 9, 2016 at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline. Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Cemetery and mailed to Delaney Funeral Home 1720 N.
