Mildred Morgan

(January 24, 1927 - August 15, 2016)

Mildred Morgan, age 89, of Meadville, died Monday, August 15, 2016, at her home.

There will be no service at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Mildred Lorene Chowning was born January 24, 1927, in Seminole, Oklahoma. On December 14, 1944, she married Henry L. Morgan, whom after 52 years of marriage preceded her in death on August 6, 1996.

Millie was a member of the Wheeling Christian Church where she was a devoted song leader. She loved to play the organ. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, and needlepoint and was also an avid card player. Her memories of the skeet range always put a smile on her face.

Although she kept this private, Millie had very fond memories of she and Henry attending dinners at the White House while Henry worked Air Force CIA Operations. They always sat at Vice President Johnson’s table.

Survivors include four sons, Henry Morgan and wife, Kathy, Carl Morgan and wife, Judy, Ted Morgan and wife, Cheri, and Tom Morgan and Mary Allen; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
