Dorothy Arlene Anderson

Passed away Friday, July 29, 2016. Preceded in death by husband, Jay; daughter, Sharon Anderson; and son, Steven Anderson. Survived by children, Kathy Anderson, Mari (Gary) Becker, Don (Liz) Anderson; grandchildren, Jaye (Jesse Bennett) Maxfield, Tim Maxfield, Jean Louise Anderson. She was born on the Staats family farm on July 15, 1931 in Macon, Missouri.

Dorothy and her husband later settled and raised their family in Beloit, Wi. She was employed by Beloit Corporation for 24 years, later retiring to Tennessee. In 1997 she moved back to the Midwest to be close to family and then settled in Minnesota in 2005 to be near her daughters.

She was a gentle, sweet and kind person who loved birds, dogs and all creatures great and small, especially her beloved dog Chloe and grandpuppy Oreo. There will be a private family service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Macon County Historical Society, 1402 S Missouri St, Macon, MO 63552
