Huntsville and Moberly Sidewalk Improvement Projects Begin in Randolph County

July 21, 2022

HANNIBAL – Weather permitting, the week of August 1, contractor crews will start work on two sidewalk improvement projects in Randolph County located on Route EE, from Bus. 63 to Mayo Street in Moberly and on Route C, from just north of Hayden Street to Clay Street in Huntsville.

Sidewalks will remain closed at the location where the contractor is actively working and traffic will be reduced to one lane during working hours. This work is being completed as part of MoDOT’s initiative for compliance with the current standards of the American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Another sidewalk improvement project, located on Route Z, from East Rose Drive to 0.1 mile west of U.S. Route 63, is scheduled to begin in early October.

We ask that motorists please be attentive in work zones for their safety and the safety of highway workers. Signs and message boards will be in place to alert motorists, as schedule changes occur.

The contracts for these projects were awarded earlier this year to S&A Equipment & Builders, LLC of Fulton, Missouri in the amount of $685,846 (Routes C and Z) and $746,312 (Route EE).
