March 25, 2020

WASHINGTON DC -- The United States Congress and President Trump have struck a deal over the largest stimulus package in Modern American History shortly after midnight on March 25th, 2020. Worth $2 Trillion dollars, the stimulus package looks to provide financial relief for Americans as the country faces the Global Pandemic of COVID-19 that has left many without work amid businesses closing their doors to slow the spread of the virus.

According to the Washington Post, "The Senate bill would direct payments of $1,200 to most American adults and $500 to most children, create a $500 billion lending program for companies, states, and cities, and extend an additional $367 billion to help small companies deal with payroll problems. It would bolster the unemployment insurance system and pump $150 billion into U.S. hospitals."
