Phillip Gene McElhaney August 19, 1963 - June 13, 2019

Phillip Gene McElhaney, 55, of Macon, MO, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO.

Phillip was born on August 19, 1963, the son of Roscoe and Bessie (Lynn) McElhaney. He enjoyed taking walks, greeting people at Wal-Mart, Star Wars, horses, eating cheeseburgers & french-fries, rides around the lake, and spending time with family.

Phillip is survived by his sister, Mary Everett of Macon, MO; brother, Alvin McElhaney of Macon, MO; two nieces, Lori Wraase and her husband Michael of San Diego, CA, and Tammy Swafford and her husband Dale of Las Vegas, NV; and several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon. Graveside service will follow at 11:15 am, Wednesday, at the Oakwood Cemetery in Macon. The family suggests memorials to the Down Syndrome Guild of Central Missouri.
