Rev. Roy Hopkins, 68, of Moberly, MO, formerly of Clifton Hill, died Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Moberly Regional Medical Center. Roy was born January 10, 1951 in West Plains, MO the son of David Edward and Ruby Viola (Williams) Hopkins. He married Betty Jean Caples on April 5, 1974 in Pomona, MO.

Roy was a graduate of Willow Springs High School, Class of 1968. He was the present minister at Clifton Hill Baptist Church, be there for the past 34 years, he also was manager of MVE Laundry at the Moberly Correctional Center for 30 years, retiring from there in 2016. Roy loved hunting, fishing, traveling grilling, smoking meat and most of all being with family.

Roy is survived by his wife Betty of the home, son Travis A. (Lori) Hopkins of Moberly, MO, daughter Jeana (Wayne) Williams of Moberly, Mo, a sister-in-law Barbara Hopkins of Litchfield, IL, two grandchildren Carter Patwary, Aleah Patwary and their father John Patwary, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Dale Warren Hopkins.
