Richard Byrd August 11, 1942 - May 14, 2019

Richard Byrd 76, of Greentop, Missouri passed away Tuesday ( May 14, 2019) in Valley View Nursing Home in Moberly, Missouri.

The son of Willard and Evalee (Burkhart) Byrd he was born August 11, 1942, in Greentop, Mo.

Richard lived his entire life in Greentop. He attended the Greentop Public School graduating with the class of 1959.

In December of 1960 Richard was united in marriage to Martha Gardner and to this marriage three children were born.

Richard is survived by his daughters Tina Rogers of Topeka, Kansas, Nancy Short of Peoria, Illinois, and Michele Wampler and husband Brian of Ozark, Missouri, his significant other Sandra Crowdis of Greentop, Mo., Grandchildren Tristan Rogers, Travis Rogers, Laci Short, Lexi Norwood, Gabriel Wampler, Abigail Wampler, and Malakai Wampler and great grandchildren Emilee Lafferty, Alayna Frantz, and Aaliyah Robinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son-in-law Tony Rogers.

Richard worked with Don Rowland doing carpentry work.

Richard and Sandra loved the outdoors, camping, hunting, and fishing. They also enjoyed craft shows, and helping at the Schuyler County Food Room.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday (May 21, 2019) in the Dooley Funeral Home with Pastor Sonny Smyser officiating.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday (May 21, 2019) in the Dooley Funeral Home, Queen City, Mo. 63561.
