Roland "Bubby" Wayne Smith April 25, 1954 - March 24, 2019

Roland “Bubby” Wayne Smith, 64, of Macon, MO, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019, at his home in Macon.

Bubby was born on April 25, 1954, in Macon, the son of Roland Leslie and Vivian Mae (Lockhart) Smith. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Jane Erwin on August 22, 1998, in Clarence, MO. Bubby worked for over 23 years at Con-Agra in Macon and enjoyed, hunting, fishing, his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, mushroom hunting, rock hunting, and raising “hell” in his youth. He especially loved his family.

Bubby is survived by his wife Dorothy Smith of Macon; four children, Jessica Smith of AR, Lindsey Smith of Bevier, MO, Jamie Smith and his wife Katie of Columbia, MO, and Weston Wineinger of Bevier; daughter-in-law, Lesley Wineinger of Macon; ten grandchildren, Chase and Cade Martin, Dylan Richardson, Sydney Durham, Ethan Smith, Brayden Wineinger, Britton Wineinger, Logan Wineinger, Riley Wineinger, and Eli Lampkin; one brother, Kenny Paul Smith; nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Roy Via, Gene Via, and Bill Smith; one sister, Kathy Moore; and one son, Jeremy Martin.

Memorial services will be 12 pm noon, on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, with Denny Lorton officiating. Visitation will be from 10 am until the service at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Randy Johnson Memorial Fund or to the family. Also, the family prefers house plants instead of fresh flowers for the service.
