Edith Fern Fletcher, age 82 of Elmer, Missouri, passed away Friday, February 8, 2019 at her home, with her loving family at her side.

Edith was born March 25, 1936 in Atlanta, Missouri, the daughter of Elmer B. and Sarah (Athon) Graham. On March 4, 1956 in Elmer, Missouri she was united in marriage to Larry Fletcher who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Jerry Fletcher of Elmer, Missouri and Mark Fletcher of Florida; two granddaughters, Jessy Stephenson and husband Zac of Macon, Missouri and Julie Mason and husband Joseph of Elmer, Missouri; five great grandchildren, Zane, Adalyn, Ava, Emery, and Owen; two sisters-in-law, Rhoda Graham and Nancy Graham; and many loved nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Eldon, Earl who was killed in action in World War II, Lewis, George, Johnny who is M.I.A. in Korea, and Eugene; and two sisters, Mary March and Margie Carrigan.

Edith was a 1954 graduate of Atlanta High School. Not long after, she married Larry and moved to the Fletcher family farm in Elmer. She enjoyed life on the farm as a homemaker and cook for the farmers.

Edith enjoyed trips to Branson, Missouri and watching her grandchildren play sports, rarely missing a game. She was an active member of the Atlanta Christian Church and served on the Women’s Council and the Lords Willing Workers.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2019 at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri. Burial will be in Elmer Cemetery, in Elmer, Missouri.

Visitation will be Monday, February 11, 2019 with the family receiving friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
