Bonnie Josephine Schmadeke December 03, 1946 - January 25, 2019
Bonnie Josephine Schmadeke, age 72, passed away on January 25, 2019 at the Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, Missouri.
Bonnie was born December 3, 1946, the daughter of Alvin Ellis and Bonnie Lucille (Latimer) Copenhaver. She was united in marriage to Jim Schmadeke on July 11, 1965 in Shelbyville, Missouri. He survives.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer O’Neill and her husband, Kevin of St. Louis, Missouri; five grandchildren, Kelsey Saunders, Josie Haslag, and Ellen, Delaney, and Bridget O’Neill; two great grandchildren, Addy Piasecki and Kristian Saunders; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Rachel Schmadeke; and one sister, Debbie Stephenson.
Bonnie attended the Zion Church in Macon, Missouri and belonged to the BPWA organization in Jefferson City. Over the years, Bonnie worked at the Shelby County courthouse in Shelbyville as the Deputy County Collector. She enjoyed traveling, visiting the Lake of the Ozarks, and attending sporting events. She especially loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, January 28, 2019 at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, Missouri. A visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon from 2pm to 4pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, west of Shelbyville, Missouri following the service. Memorials may be made to Neighbors Helping Neighbors.
