Donald Ray “Don” Smith, Sr, 57, of Huntsville, MO, died Thursday, January 3, 2019. He was born March 6, 1961 in Mexico, MO to Robert T. and Lilly (Dinwiddie) Smith.

Don was a honorably discharged veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Prior to his medical disability he was a truck driver for Orscheln Farm and Home.

Survivors include his wife Brenda of the home, his children Donald R. Smith, Jr and his wife Cassie of Mexico, MO, Crystal Gilden and her husband Robert of Boonville, MO, Bonnie Shaw and her husband Jamie of Callao, MO, Cory Smith and his wife Candice of Mexico, MO, twelve grandchildren, three brothers Alfred “Bubby” Smith of Mexico, MO, Gene Smith of Holts Summit, MO, Steve Smith of Moberly, MO, two sisters Darla Phillips and her husband Gerald of Mexico, MO and Betty Womack and her husband Mike of Winder, GA, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Mike.
Services honoring and celebrating Don’s life will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2019, 3p.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Committal prayers, military honors and inurnment will follow.
