Mary Jane Collins, of Queen City, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, December 16th, at the Schuyler County Nursing Home. She passed away on the 12th anniversary of the death of her late husband Charles Collins.

Jane was born to parents Homer and Nola Scurlock on May 29, 1929. She grew up and attended school in Schuyler County, Missouri, and married Charles on October 1st, 1946. Together, they lived on a farm in Worthington, Missouri, where they raised two children, Linda and Larry.

She owned and operated an upholstery business in Worthington, while working concurrently at other various jobs throughout her adult life. In August of 2000, Jane and Charles moved to Queen City, where they both lived out the rest of their lives. Jane loved to cook, quilt, and crochet, and she passed these skills along through her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Worthington Garden Club, and the Queen City Christian Church.

Jane is survived by her son Larry Collins, her son-in-law Edgar Berry, and her grandchildren Becky and Kevin Douglas, Elaina and Brad Wolzak, Casey and Vicky Collins, Edward and Jessica Berry, and Susan and Scott Crawford. She had ten great-grandchildren in all. In order of age their names are Tyler Collins, Amadee Douglas, Cody Collins, Schuyler Douglas, Seth Crawford, Eddie Paul Berry, Sienna Stewart, Ava Crawford, Will Crawford, and Nathan Crawford. She is also survived by her sister Dorothy Rosenboom, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Nola, her husband, Charles, her daughter, Linda Berry, her daughter-in-law Angela Collins, as well as her siblings, Marvin Scurlock, Emma Lou Johnson, and Jack Scurlock.

Jane’s family has chosen to have a small, graveside service, with the date and time to be determined.
