Robert Elder April 07, 1942 - December 15, 2018

Robert Elder, 76, of Queen City. Missouri, passed away Saturday night (December 15, 2018) in the Bloomfleld Care Center in Bloomfield, Iowa.

The son of Ralph Thomas and Beatrice Margaret (Tremmel) Elder he was born April 7, 1942, in Sigourney, Iowa. He grew up and attended school in the Sigourney area.

In 1961 he was united in marriage to Carol Stone and to this union four sons were born, Mitch, Tony, Chris, and Jim.

He was preceded in death by his son Tony, his parents, and a brother Bill.

Robert is survived by sons Mitch and wife Tina of Valley Falls, Kansas, Chris and wife Jennifer of Wayland, Iowa, and Jim and wife Cindy of Eldon, Iowa, his step-children Evanne Bruner and husband Larry, Jay Jarvis, Richie Nuno and wife Karen, and Shanna Wulf. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, a sister Beth Cook and husband Kenny of Bloomfield, Iowa, a brother Edd Elder and wife Judy of Fremont, Iowa, and many good friends and neighbors.

Robert was a professional truck driver until his retirement.

He was a member of the Catholic Church.

Robert loved to hunt, read, and was a very talented artist. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday (December 20, 2018) in the Dooley Funeral Home, Queen City, Mo.

Memorials are suggested to the Good Samaritan Hospice of Ottumwa, Iowa.
