Shirley Jean Sizemore, 79 years old, of Kirksville, Missouri formerly of Green Castle, Missouri passed away Wednesday December 19, 2018 at the University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Shirley was born November 15, 1939 in Nevada, Missouri to Arthur and Jessie Fern (Holladay) Brown. On July 7, 1956 in Green Castle she married George Sizemore and he preceded her in death on December 4, 2011.

She is survived by four daughters, Becky Snyder (Mike) of Kirksville, Missouri, Debbie Neely (Martin) of Green City, Missouri, Cindy Hardesty of Green City, Missouri, Julila Sayre (John) of Green Castle, Missouri, one son, Jack Sizemore (Glendetta) of Green Castle, Missouri, ten grandchildren, Salina O’Haver (Jordan), Jennifer Lunsford (Brad), Travis King (Stephanie), Jared (Courtney) Sizemore, Timmy Randall (Heather Kirpatrick), Cecilic Leslie (Frank Jr.), April Navis (Jonathan), Jeffery Sayre (Tiffany), Damon Sizemore (Mercedes), Falisha Sayre (Ethan Roberts), thirty-one great grandchildren, two brothers, Hershell Brown of Marshalltown, Iowa, Gerald Brown (Kate) of Witten, Iowa, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Jimmy Duane Sizemore, daughter Tina Rose Sizemore, sister, Juanita Duncan, son in-law, George Joseph Hardesty, one sister, Jaunita Duncan, four brothers Chet, Floyd, Gaylord and Gilbert Brown.

Shirley was raised on a farm near Union, Iowa. She met and married George Sizemore and they moved to the Green Castle area. She was raised in the Quaker religion and was a member of the Chester Church in Harden County Iowa. She later joined the Stahl Church. She was a devoted wife and mother, raising her kids with the old fashioned values that were instilled in her as a child.

Shirley like to hunt, fish and enjoyed nature. She raised a family that enjoyed good old-fashioned music. She cherished time spent with her family.

Graveside services will be 12:30 P.M., Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the Morelock Cemetery north of Green Castle. A scheduled visitation will be held at 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Green City, Missouri.
