Carmen Paige Techau, 19 years of Anderson, Missouri passed away on Friday October 5, 2018 in Warrensburg, Missouri.

Carmen was born August 31, 1999 in West Monroe, Louisiana to David and the late Tamara Techau. Carmen was a freshman at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri studying Graphic Design.

Carmen attended school and made many friends in Wilton, IA, Milan, MO and McDonald County. In 2018 Carmen graduated from McDonald County High School where she played the trumpet and bass drum in the band, was a light tech for the MCHS Performing Arts Center. After graduation Carmen traveled to Europe and spent her summer with family and friends before beginning her first semester at UCM in August. One of Carmen’s favorite hobbies was taking photos, a love she got from her parents and family; she also enjoyed spending time with friends hanging out.

Carmen was preceded in death by her mother Tamara; paternal grandparents Wilbur and Vodra Techau; maternal grandparents Clyde and Linda McCracken; and one Uncle, Bob Techau.

Carmen is survived by her father David Techau of Anderson, Missouri , three sisters; Dustie Slover & husband Tim of Macon, Christy Dover & husband Terry of Laclede, Kayla Goines of Noel; four brothers, Kyle Techau & wife Betsy of Laclede; Jesse Goines & wife Cynthia of Dennison, IA, Garrett Techau of Noel, Brenton Enyard of Macon and; Aunts Pam & husband Bill Cosby of Bevier, Sherie and husband Paul Bork of Macon, Paula McCracken of Pineville and Brenda Techau of Brookfield; Uncles Gene Techau and friend Debbie of Galesburg, IL and Richard Techau & wife Sherry of Brookfield; several nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends from Wilton, IA, Milan, MO and McDonald County, MO.

Funeral services for Carmen will be 11 am, Thursday, October 11, 2018, at Hutton McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO with Rev. Gene Stueve officiating. Burial will be in the East Oakwood Cemetery in Bevier. Visitation will be 10 am, until the time of service, at the funeral home in Macon. Those honoring her life by being pallbearers are Aaron Cosby, Alex Cosby and Andrew Cosby, Garrett Techau, Kyle Techau & Terry Dover.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in memory of Carmen, can be made to the funeral home or to the University of Missouri Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Columbia, MO.
