Brian K. Dunwoody, age 50, of Moberly became a member of Heartbeat of a Hero after passing away September 21, 2018 at University Hospital.

Brian was born on November 5, 1967 in Moberly to Shirley (Farris) and Fred Dunwoody. He graduated from Moberly High School and then from Quincy Technical College. After receiving his degree, Brian became an over the road truck driver for many years. He later went to work for Mid Am Building Supply, where he worked for more than 19 years.

Brian was a devoted dad! He enjoyed motorcycle rides, hunting and fishing, watching the Kansas City Chiefs and spending time with friends and family.

Through his donation and with the help of the Midwest Transplant Network, Brian will be changing the lives of others and his generosity continues to live on.

Brian is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Dunwoody.

Survivors include his beloved daughter, Ellie Dunwoody of Moberly; father, Fred Dunwoody, of Moberly; brothers, Kent Dunwoody and his wife

Sarah of Le Mars, IA and Wayne Dunwoody and his wife Donna of Moberly; sister, Connie Dunwoody of Moberly; aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and close friends.

Services celebrating Brian’s life will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Moberly. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, there has been a memorial fund established for Ellie at United Credit Union, 1791 E. Outer Rd., Moberly, MO 65270.
