MARY ROSE WELCH March 14, 1942 September 9, 2018

Mary Rose Welch, 76, of Moberly, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018 at her home. Mary was born March 14, 1942 in Thompson Falls, MT to Kenneth Soule and Elise Mebust Soule. After graduating nursing school, she married Lee Welch on June 11, 1966 in Rollins, Wyoming. Mary and Lee relocated to Moberly in 1969. She enjoyed sewing clothes for her family, making quilts, flower gardening, baking but especially spending time with her family and chasing around her grandchildren. Mary was also a St. Louis Cardinal’s fan and a devoted member of the Zion Lutheran Church. She was kind and generous and will be missed by many.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Lee Welch; granddaughter, Jennifer Thompson and grandson, Zacharius Thompson.

Survivors include her children, Johnny Welch of Moberly, Bobby Welch of Moberly, Carmen Welch of Jefferson City and Kevin Welch of Moberly; grandchildren, Marcus Welch, Justin Welch, Kavaughn Rowe, Michael Welch, Josh Welch, Savannah Welch, Connor Welch, Emily Welch, Skyler Calicott, Collen Humphrey and Camryn Humphrey; twenty great- grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Services celebrating Mary’s life will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Fayette. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
