Peggy M. Harris July 16, 1954 - July 02, 2018

Peggy (Meisenheimer) Harris, age 63, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018, at her home in Shelbina, Missouri.
Peggy was born in California on July 16, 1954, the daughter of Dr. Lester Leo and Peggy (Neil) Meisenheimer. She was united in marriage to Harold Eugene “Gene” Harris on February 23, 1985 in Dallas, Texas. He preceded her in death on November 23, 2017.
Peggy worked for AT&T for several years. Later on, Peggy and Gene owned and operated Clapper’s Steakhouse in Shelbina. She loved horses, crafting with her grandchildren, playing cards, and boating. She always loved having her family around and cherished all her memories spent with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her two sons, Dylan Lee Harris of Hartford, Connecticut, and Zachary Eugene Harris of Shelbina, Missouri; two grandchildren, Alexis Brooke Harris and Arianna Brylin Harris; stepmother, Carolyn Meisenheimer; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Virgil and Erma Harris of Macon, Missouri; and two brothers, Marc and Neil Meisenheimer.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lester Meisenheimer.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, Missouri. A visitation will precede the service from 10 am to 11 am. Inurnment will follow the memorial service at the Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri. Memorials may be made to the Shelby County Senior Citizens Center or Callao Christian Church.
