Also surviving: a son, Jake Wolfe of Unionville, Missouri; a step son, Darren Logsdon of Chariton, Iowa; four grandchildren, Mason Wolfe, Kelly Logsdon, Kennedi Logsdon, and Sydney Logsdon; one brother, Ben Wolfe and wife Jeannie of Fairbank, Iowa; maternal grandmother, Gerry Manley of Davenport, Iowa; a nephew, Tyler Wolfe; a niece, Camryn Wolfe; many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins; and many more kids he and Angie have claimed as their own. Nate grew up in Davenport, graduating in 1990 from West High School in Davenport. He started working on the river for Black Hawk Fleet, and later started working American River Transportation Company, where he was still working as a Towboat Captain on The M/V American Beauty. Nate was a member of the Milan Elks Lodge and the Giver Hell Easy ATV Crew. He especially enjoyed his Grandkids, they were the most important thing in his life. He sure didn't want to miss any of Kelly's ballgames. He may have been gone a month at a time for work but he made up for it when he was home. So on his free time he loved to ride Harleys, ATV’s, Side by sides, and going camping. His favorite place to go camping and riding was Dave and Mary's. You could also find him in his garage tinkering on his toys, and calling his buddies to see if they were ready for a cold one. Nate may have seemed quiet but once he warmed up he had his ornery side. For his more down time he liked to play Guitar and was quite the artist too. He was also a diehard Hawkeye fan. He also had some pretty spoiled dogs that he blamed Angie for spoiling, but who was the one with all the Dog selfies? Nate had one of the biggest hearts, he was always one of the first ones there to help anyone out.
Funeral services for Nate will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, July 6, 2018 at Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, North of Milan. A visitation is scheduled for 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday evening, at the funeral home.
