Betty Jane Rhodes August 27, 1939 - June 29, 2018

Betty Jane Rhodes, 78, of Macon, MO, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018, at the Loch Haven Nursing Home in Macon.

Betty was born on August 27, 1939, in Avon, IL the daughter of William Kenneth and Florentine Bearce. She was united in marriage to Jimmy Lee Rhodes on August 14, 1974, in Rock Island, IL. Betty was a member of the United Trinity Church in Macon and served as a volunteer at the local nursing homes.

Betty is survived by her husband, Jimmy Rhodes of Macon; five children, Andrea Pelton and her husband Bob of Wataga, IL, Patti Wagner and her husband Tom of Chicago, IL, Andy Hook of Gainesville, TX, Laura Johnson of Columbia, TN, and Corinna Sue Ryan of Abingdon, IL; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, and other brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be 11:30 am, Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at the United Trinity Church, with Pastor Mike Birdsong officiating. Burial will be in the Jacksonville Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 am, Tuesday morning at the church. The family suggests memorials to the United Trinity Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home.
