Betty Lou Lucas March 13, 1943 - June 28, 2018

Betty Lou Lucas, 75, of Macon, MO, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at the Boone Medical Center in Columbia, MO.

Betty was born on March 13, 1943, in Brookfield, MO, the daughter of Lewis and Vera (Vobornik) Wolfe. She was united in marriage to Jerry E. Lucas on August 25, 1961, in Moberly, MO. Betty enjoyed going to the YMCA, gardening, being on the farm, going to the Wilcox Country Opry Barn and especially spending time with her family.

Betty is survived by her mother Vera Wolfe, two children, Colleen Oliver and her husband Kent, Michael Lucas and his wife Carolyn, seven grandchildren, Garrett Oliver and his wife Alana, Kyra Oliver, Shana Oliver, Cooper Lucas, Carter Lucas, all of Macon, Elizabeth Apel and her husband Dillon of Shelbina, MO, and Sarah Flowers of Macon, three great grandchildren, Lane Oliver, Harper Oliver, and Rhett Apel, one sister, Bonnie Bruno and her husband John of Macon, one sister-in-law, Cindy Lucas and her husband Tim O’Connor of Excello, MO, and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

She was preceded in death by her father, her husband Jerry on June 10, 2009, and her in-laws, Milton and Alice Lucas.

Graveside services will be 11:30 am, Saturday, June 30, 2018, at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens north of Macon, with Bro. Jim Bolin officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 am, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon. Memorials are suggested to the Macon Rural Fire Department.
