Bascom Leon Wooten January 20, 1924 - June 06, 2018
Bascom Leon Wooten, 94, of Excello, MO, passed away in Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at the Clarence Care Center in Clarence, MO.
Leon was born on January 20, 1924, in Clarita, OK, the son of Gorden B. and Annie (Evans) Wooten. He was united in marriage to Ruby Laverne Wright on September 6, 1945, in Muncie, KS. Leon loved restoring old tractors, the Macon Flywheel, and working on the farm.
Leon is survived by his wife of 72 plus years, Ruby Laverne Wright of Excello, six children, Larry Wooten and his wife Susan of Madison, MO, Robert Wooten and his wife Millie of Excello, Carol Baker and John of Atlanta, MO, Karen Maupin and her husband Larry of Clarence, Donna Maupin and her husband Rick of Clarence, Randy Wooten and his wife Hertha of Excello, 19 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren, one half-brother, James Kenneth Duke, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Gorden Louis Wooten, one half-sister, Delores Duke Graves, one daughter-in-law, Tami Wooten, one son-in-law, John Baker, and one granddaughter, Monica Ann Wooten.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, June 9, 2018, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO, with Pastor Robert Kroff officiating. Burial will be in the Woodville Cemetery in Woodville, MO. Visitation will be from 10-11 am, Saturday morning. At the funeral home in Macon. Memorials are suggested to the Woodville Cemetery.
