Betty Molloy MAY 13, 1923 ~ JUNE 3, 2018 (AGE 95)

Betty Molloy, age 95, of Meadville, died Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Morningside Center in Chillicothe.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Meadville with Pastor Keith Sisney officiating. Burial will be in Meadville Cemetery in Meadville. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Betty Ross, daughter of Ross and Beulah (Kimbrough) Palmer, was born May 13, 1923, in Chula. On August 28, 1940, she married Virgil Ray Molloy who preceded her in death on March 21, 1990.

Betty was a homemaker. She also worked many years at Meadville Locker and Martin’s Market in Meadville.

She was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church west of Purdin.

Survivors include her children, Barbara DeVaul of Meadville and Mack Molloy and wife, Lisa of Carrollton; eight grandchildren, Mike Sargent and wife, Kathy, Paula Fairchild and husband, Tony, Clint DeVaul and wife, Donna, Andrew Molloy and wife, Megan, Alex Molloy and wife, Kristine, Tom Molloy, Rachael Molloy, and Beverly Molloy; 11 great-grandchildren, Jessica DeVaul, Garrett DeVaul, Katie O’Dell and husband, Doug, Kaci Peterson and husband, Ryan, Kellie Sargent, Cecelia Molloy, Ella Molloy, Sam Molloy, Carter Molloy, Karlin Fairchild, and Kennedi Fairchild; three great great-grandchildren, Luke O’Dell, Ada O’Dell, and Nicholas Peterson; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Her parents; one daughter, Beverly Sargent; two sons-in-law, Larry Sargent and Richard DeVaul; five brothers, Ted Palmer, Harold Palmer, Bob Palmer, Norman Palmer, and Wendall Palmer; and two sisters, Hazel Hansen and Margaret Buckner also preceded her in death.
