Cleda Campbell Died: Wed., May 30, 2018

Cleda (Berkley) Wyatt- Campbell, 92, of Moberly, died Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Moberly Nursing and Rehab. She was born November 22, 1925 in Higbee, MO to George and Beulah (Kirby) Berkley.

Cleda moved with her parents from Fayette to Kansas City in January 1942 and returned to the Kirby family farm in Higbee in 1980.

Cleda married Cecil Campbell on February 20, 1959 in Kansas City, MO and he preceded her in death in 2000. Also preceding her in death were her parents, a daughter Fleeta Naylor- Buffington and her first husband, Fleet E. Wyatt.

Survivors include her grand son Ken E. Naylor and his wife Angela of Huntsville, MO, great-grandsons, Kyle E. Naylor, Nathan Naylor and Preston Naylor, a step- daughter, Dolares Irene Negale, three half-sisters; Mary Sue Eppley, Gwlynn Irek and Julia Predue, a half-brother, John Robert Berkley,step-grandchildren, great- great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Cleda was a member of the First Baptist Church of Moberly since 1980. She taught children in Sunday school and was a member of the Joy Saunders Mission Group. She had previously been a member of the Bales Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO for several years. She was actively involved as a Sunday school teacher, cradle rall worker, superintendent and women’s union director.

Words of comfort and support may be shared with the family at the visitation, which will be, Monday, June 4, 2018, 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel. Services honoring and celebrating Cleda’s life will follow at 4:00 p.m. Committal prayers and burial will be Tuesday, June 5, 2018, 12: 00 p.m. in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, MO.
