Joanne (Ellsworth) Seay (Mar 18, 1934 - May 30, 2018)

Joanne (Ellsworth) Seay, 84, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at her home under Hospice care.

Joanne was born March 18, 1935 in Novinger, Missouri, the daughter of the late William Curtis and Etta Ozelle (Barker) Ellsworth. On June 3, 1955 in Novinger, Missouri, Joanne was united in marriage to Joe Seay.

Joanne is survived by her husband Joe of sixty-three years; two daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Scott Hall of St. Louis, MO, and Linda and Mike Brummit of Kirksville, MO; two brothers, Leslie Ellsworth of Novinger, MO, and Dean Ellsworth and wife Bebe of TX; two sisters, Norma Robison and Fay Sallade both of Kirksville, MO; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Aldo Ellsworth; two sisters, Helen Sandretto and Becky Snyder, and one great-granddaughter, Leann Christian Brummit.

Joanne was a graduate of Novinger High School with the Class of 1952. She was employed twenty-five years as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell before going to work for First Baptist Church as the financial secretary.

Joanne was a member of Hamilton Street Baptist Church in Kirksville, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2018 with family receiving friends for one hour before in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home. Pastor Steve Nelson will officiate the service and interment will follow at Shibley's Point Cemetery in Shibley's Point, Missouri.

Pallbearers will be Mike Brummit, Scott Hall, Matthew South, Christopher Hall, Charles Fraser, and Owen Fraser.
