James "Jimmy" Loid Burkhardt August 28, 1919 - June 03, 2018

Jimmy was born on August 28, 1919, in Macon County, the son of Henry and Jewell (Huffman) Burkhardt. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Jimmy was united in marriage to Goldie Rose on February 17, 1943, in St. Charles, MO. Jimmy was a well-known mechanic and raised cattle for many years. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and hunting quail and pheasant.

Jimmy is survived by one niece, Betty Poore, four nephews, Ronnie Burkhardt, John Burkhardt, Billy Burkhardt, and David Burkhardt, several great-nieces and great-nephews, special friends, Chad Primm and his wife Deana and their children, Jacob, Alex, and Connor Primm, Danny Primm and his wife Barbara, and Ronald Janes and his wife Brenda.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, Carl and Sanford Burkhardt, and one nephew, Travis Burkhardt.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Thursday, June 7, 2018, at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Clarence, MO, with Bro. Jim Bolin and Bro. Jim Bilbro officiating. Burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Clarence. Visitation will be from 10-11 am, on Thursday morning, at the funeral home in Clarence. Memorials are suggested to the Maplewood Cemetery or the Loch Haven Apartments.
