Thomas Earl Ford, Jr., 91, of New Cambria, MO, passed away Wednesday, May 02, 2018, at the Macon Healthcare Center in Macon, MO.

Jr. was born on January 16, 1927, in Atlanta, MO, the son of Thomas Earl Ford, Sr. and Selena (Green) Ford. He was united in marriage to Verla Belle Stull on May 23, 1947 in Ethel, MO. Jr. was a member and served as a Deacon of the Brush Creek Primitive Baptist Church. He loved quail hunting, horses, and especially spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Jr. is survived by his wife, Verla of New Cambria, MO; four children, Tom Ford of Macon, MO, Connie Jones of Queen City, MO, Barb Cannon and her husband James of Laclede, MO, and Seon Thomas and her husband Jim of New Cambria, MO; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Sue Williams of Macon, MO; and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one great-grandson, Marcus; one brother, Gene Ford; and three sisters, Grace Taylor, Aldena Chaffee, and Marie Morgan, and one son-in-law, Hurley Jones.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the Gilleland & McElwain Funeral Home in New Cambria, MO, with Elder Matthew Pearl officiating. Burial will be in the New Chariton Cemetery north of Callao, MO. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm, Friday evening, at the funeral home in New Cambria, MO. Memorials are suggested for Jami Pate Fund.
