Sondra Sue Lake January 05, 1936 - April 25, 2018

Sondra Sue Lake, age 82 of Marceline, died Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Life Care Center of Brookfield. Sondra was born in Marceline, Missouri on January 5, 1936 to Don O. and Joy (Kendrick) Walsworth. She married Donald Dean Lake on September 25, 1955.

Sondra was a graduate of Marceline High School in 1953, attended the University of Missouri and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Sorosis Club and a founding member of the Ladies Golf Association, all of Marceline. She served Meals on Wheels and was an active volunteer at the Marceline Senior Center.

She is survived by two sons, Steve and Shelley Lake, Marceline, Tim and Carrie Lake, Sumner, three daughters, Jane and Dave Frandson, Marceline, Jeannie and John Odom, Liberty, and Jennifer and Dale Gladbach, Mendon, brother Don and Audrey Walsworth II and brother-in-law Kyle and Carol Lake, all of Marceline, cousin Nancy and Bob Stephenson, Abilene, TX; ten grandchildren, Holly Bennett (David), Adam Lake (Emily), Timothy Frandson, Kaleb Lake, Taylor Frandson, Paige Meyers (Noah), Anthony Gladbach, Alex Gladbach, Hayley Odom and Hannah Odom, six great grandchildren, Bailey and Parker Bennett, Cruz and Memphis Lake, and Eli Lake and Laken Meyers, and nieces and nephews, Ed Walsworth, Don Walsworth III, Lynn Wood, Kyra Brehm, Kara Robinson, and Kimi Brooks. She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws Orland and Christine Lake, husband Don, daughter Julie Lake, and uncles Ed and Irene Walsworth and Bill and Rebecca Walsworth.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Marceline United Methodist Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Marceline. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Monday, April 30th at the Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline. Memorials may be made to United Methodist Church or Marceline Nutrition Site and mailed to 1720 N.
