Amber Sue Green OCTOBER 11, 1926 ~ APRIL 21, 2018 (AGE 91)

Amber Sue Green, 91, of Milan, MO, passed away April 21, 2018. Amber was born to Otis and Sylvia (McCormick) Caldwell on October 11, 1926 near Bairdstown, MO in Sullivan County.

Amber was raised and educated in Milan where she was a 1944 graduate of Milan High School. After graduation she was employed at Crystal Products Co. in Kansas City.

She was united in marriage to Keith H. Green on October 20, 1945 in Pollock, MO. The couple soon bought property and established the “Long Green Angus Farm” near Reger.

Amber enjoyed singing and playing the piano at church. She was a dedicated 4-H leader, a great cook, and an avid gardener. She loved to share her produce with her friends and neighbors. Amber was a faith-filled member of the United Methodist Church in Milan and previously a member of the Reger Methodist Church.

Amber’s parents preceded her in death as did her husband, Keith Green, and infant daughter, Janet Kay.

Amber is survived by her daughter, Sharon (husband George) Owen, her grandchildren, Michelle (husband Chris) Workman, and George (wife Susan) Owen, III, her four great grandchildren, Luke and Garret Owen, Jake and Dane Workman.

A Celebration of Life for Amber will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan, MO. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM, with memorial service to follow at 11:30 AM. A private inurnment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Milan.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests Memorial contributions to the Sullivan County Senior Center or the Milan United Methodist Church.
