David L. Payne, 57, of Moberly, passed away, Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Moberly Regional Medical Center. He was born June 17, 1960 in Moberly to Orville L. Sr. and Carrie (Arthur) Payne.

Survivors include his significant other of 30 years, June Ray Boone of Moberly, his children; Jillian Burkett, Pam Boone and Theresa Boone all of Moberly, his mother, Carrie Payne, several grandchildren, brothers, Kenneth and Richard Payne both of Moberly, sisters; Shirley Thomas and her husband Johnny of Moberly, Connie Payne of San Diego, CA, Lisa Nobles of Columbia, Carlene Robinson of Moberly, Phoebie Robinson and husband William of Moberly, Kathy Payne and husband Rob Thorp of Moberly and Robyn McDonald and her husband Lee of Columbia, a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers, Orville Payne, Jr. and Tyrone Smith, two nephews, Jeff and Tommy Payne and two brothers-in-law, William and James Robinson.

David was a hard worker; loved his family and never met a stranger he knew everybody.

Services honoring and celebrating David’s life were held at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel. Committal prayers and burial will be at a later date.
