Catheryn Ronchetto June 15, 1920 - April 22, 2018

On the evening of April 22, 2018, our beloved mother, Catheryn Biondi Ronchetto, passed away at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO.

Catheryn was born on June 15, 1920 to John and Emma Biondi, Italian immigrants from Fiumalbo and Modena who raised their family in Bevier, MO. Her siblings include Fernanda Biondi, John Biondi, Bruna Biondi Hughes, Ada Biondi Ronchetto, Valentina Biondi, and Henry Biondi.

On October 4, 1936, Catheryn married Eugene “Chick” Ronchetto in Macon, MO. Together they raised a large Italian family, “my tribe”, as mom used to call us. Catheryn was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. She enjoyed gatherings with family, cooking Italian food, and four-point pitch. In her later years she enjoyed visits with grandchildren.

Ronchetto children are Teresa Knowles and her special friend Ron Othick, Betty Rhoads and her husband Larry, Norma Toll and her husband Bernie, Butch Ronchetto, Gary Ronchetto and his wife Brenda, and June Long and her husband Jim. Catheryn and Chick have 15 grandchildren: Debbie, Maria, Kelley, Rob, Susan, Donna, Mike, Cindy, Mark, Brian, Jamie, Jessica, Jennifer, Sarah, and Michael. They have 20 great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Zach, Nicole, Emily, Taylor, Megan, Jerod, Jordan, Josh, Haley, Tim, Mya, Ryan, Tori, Chase, Cade, Drew, Addie, Hudson, and Maggie. They have three great-great-grandchildren: Adalyn, Paisley, and Ryker. Catheryn also has many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Eugene “Chick”; her siblings; son Butch; grandson Gary, Jr.; granddaughter, Donna; and great-grandsons, Jerod and Nicholas.

Our mother was the heartbeat of our home and family and she will be remembered always and loved forever.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Friday, April 27, 2018, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Macon. Burial will be in the St. Charles Cemetery in Bevier. Visitation will be Thursday evening, April 26, 2018, from 5 to 7 pm at Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon. Family suggests memorials to the St. Charles Cemetery or the Immaculate Conception Church.
