Nellie G. McElhoe October 16, 1921 - April 21, 2018

Nellie McElhoe, age 96, of Shelbina, MO, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Salt River Community Care in Shelbina, Missouri.

She was born on October 16, 1921, in Bethel, Missouri, the daughter of Harry and Allie Smoot Taylor.

Nellie is survived by one daughter Cherie Hentz and husband Dennis of Frederick Maryland, two grandchildren, Jamie White and Erin Code, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Wanda Bevill and her ex husband Hubert McElhoe.

Nellie retired from American General Insurance Company. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, her love of animals, visting with family and friends especially her grandchildren.

As per her wishes, there will be no funeral or graveside services. The family would like to thank the staff at Salt River for the loving care over the past several years.
