Hazel Lorene Mott April 28, 1922 - April 09, 2018

Hazel Lorene Mott, 95, of Macon, MO, formerly of Callao, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018, at the Life Care Center in Brookfield, MO.

Hazel was born on April 28, 1922, in Callao, MO, the daughter of Hugh and Grace (Herrin) Cross. She was united in marriage to Guy LaVerne Mott on December 21, 1940 in Macon. Hazel retired from Toast Master in Macon, and enjoyed gardening, flowers, camping, playing the piano, and especially spending time with her family.

She is survived by two sons, Bob Mott of Bevier, Jack Mott and wife Debbie of Madison, MO; four daughters, Judy Tumlin and husband Edward of Macon, Jane Elliott of Macon, Sue Bigham of St. Charles, MO, Sandra Bedillion and husband Robert of Avella, PA;17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren; one brother Paul Cross and wife Mary of Columbia, MO, and several nieces and nephews.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Bill Mott, two infant children, two sisters, two daughters in law, Lana and Sheilla Mott, and one son in law, Bennie Elliott.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 13, 2018, at 10:30 am at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon. Burial will be in the Locust Grove Cemetery in Callao, MO. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the Locust Grove Cemetery or the Alzheimer’s Association
