BREAKING: Shelby County School Redistricting Petition Filed

With less than 24 hours before election day, a petition with hopes to redistrict the Shelby County School District and Macon School District has been filed to the Shelby County School Board and County Clerk. There is another petition in Macon County, but no reports of it being filed as of right now - must be filed to the Macon R-1 School Board and County Clerk. Both petitions in both counties must be filed for the proposal to reach the voters on a ballot in a FUTURE ELECTION (August most likely). The idea of redistricting came into play after Shelby County Voters will be voting on Proposition KIDS tomorrow (April 3rd). Motives and reasonings behind redistricting is still unclear.
