CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATE FORUM (March 21st) ANNOUNCED - Claiborne and Nelson to Moderate

We are pleased to announce and bring forth to the public our first City Council Candidate Forum! This forum will be very similar to the Mayoral Candidate Forum being held this Monday (February 26th) at seven in the evening! Home Press Writer Benjamin Nelson will be moderating by himself on Monday at the Mayoral Forum between Mayor Dale Bagley and Businessman Talt Holman. Even with this announcement of the City Council Forum, we are also pleased to announce that Shellie Claiborne, retired Elementary Teacher, will be joining Nelson to moderate the forum! We will be in contact with the school to see if the City Council Forum can be held in the Macon Middle School Gym - allowing adequate seating for the public. All of the City Council Candidates have accepted the invitation and will be there! To be very specific and to eliminate possible confusion, please read the following very carefully:
Macon Mayoral Candidate Forum will be held Monday February 26th at seven in the evening at the Macon Middle School Gym. Mayor Dale Bagley and Talt Holman will be discussing and answering questions from Moderator Benjamin Nelson.
Macon City Council Candidate Forum will be held Wednesday March 21st at seven in the evening. Location to be determined! Ernie Lea and Taylor Wesley (Candidates for Ward 1), Tony Petre (Candidate for Ward 2), Jerold Carr and Craig Vanderaa (Candidates for Ward 3) and Jerry Thompson (Candidate for Ward 4), will all be discussing and answering questions from Moderators Shellie Claiborne and Benjamin Nelson.
**Specifics and more information will be released at a later date!
** Please submit questions about the forum and/or questions that you would like for us to ask to the candidates at bcncvc@mail.missouri.edu
