Richard “Rick” Freeze, 47, of Macon, MO, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

Rick was born on July 23, 1969, in Hinsdale, IL, the son of Herbert, Jr and Andrea (Koontz) Freeze. He was united in marriage to Leesa Stamp on March 25, 1989 at the Faith Baptist Church in Macon. Rick served in the Missouri National Guard for 13 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bevier, MO. He worked at Westlake’s and Department of Natural Resources in Macon, MO. Rick loved to read, working on computers, camping, a big Chicago Cubs fan, and enjoyed spending time with family.

Rick is survived by his wife Leesa and children, Megan and Ethan Freeze of Macon, MO; his mother, Andrea and her husband Paul Sullivan of Clarence, MO; four sisters, Candace Barton and her husband Barry of Moberly, MO, Mindy Harrison and her husband Doug of Madison, MO, Jennifer Lorenzo and her husband Jeremy of Macon, MO, and Sarah Duncan of Clarence, MO; mother-in-law, Sharon Stamp; sister-in-law, Paula Snow and her husband Mark; brothers-in-law, Layne Stamp and his fiancé Rachel Wright, and Blayne Stamp and his wife Amanda; grandmother, Elcie Sullivan; multiple aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert; step-father, Dan Gross; grandparents-in-law, Charles and Joyce Coleman, and Ernest and Mary Alice Stamp; father-in-law, Vesper Stamp; grandparents, Dorothy and George E. Koontz, Herbert Freeze, Sr., and Reba Morsette; and one great niece, Sawyer Anderson.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 21, 2016, 1 pm, at the First Baptist Church in Bevier, MO. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm, Thursday evening, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The family suggests memorials to First Baptist Church Building Fund of Bevier
