JAKOB RYAN PRATT

Jakob Ryan Pratt, age 14, of Shelbyville, MO, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016, at the University Hospital in Columbia, MO. Jakob was born June 20, 2002 in Quincy, IL, the son of Joseph Kelly Pratt III and Misty Jo Garman Davis.

He is survived by his parents; five siblings, Joseph Austin Pratt, Trystin Marie Pratt, Jeremiaha Matthew Pratt, Josiah Mikeal Pratt, and Lance Bock of Shelbyville, MO; maternal grandparents, Brenda Williams of Shelbyville, MO, and Bill Garman of Oskalosa, Iowa; foster grandfather, James McCormick of Clarence, MO; step-father, Calvin Davis of Shelbyville, MO; step-sister, Kayla Davis; step-brother, Matthew Davis of Hannibal, MO; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparent, Sherry Pratt; and great aunts, Ruth Ann Jones and Wanda Shores.

Jakob was a member of North Shelby football team, FFA, FCA, and Open Door Fellowship. He enjoyed riding his dirt bike, bowling, laughing and telling jokes, pestering his sister, working on the farm, lifting weights with Joseph and his cousin, James Parshall, helping his dad drive the John Deere 40, and mowing his mother’s yard. He also loved riding in semi trucks and dreamt of one day being a trucker. He especially enjoyed spending time with his friends and his nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, October 14, 2016, at North Shelby High School, in Shelbyville, MO. Visitation services will precede the funeral service from 11am to 2pm at the high school. Memorials may be made to the North Shelby High School Football Team.
