Mary Ruth Smith

Mary Ruth Smith, 70, of Moberly passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at South Hampton Place in Columbia, Missouri.

Mary Ruth was born October 6, 1946 to James F. and Anna Mae (Apel) Embree in Huntsville, Missouri. During her career she worked as a Medtech for several different nursing homes including North Park Village.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: James Milton Embree, Donald R. Embree, Delbert Lee Embree, and Dwayne Embree.

Survivors include her sons: Phillip Wayne Smith of Shelbina, Missouri, Ronald Allen Smith of Moberly, Missouri, and Troy Dean (Miranda) Smith of Cairo, Missouri; sisters: Ruby A. (Herman)Dillon of Lawson, Missouri, Betty L. Hess of Moberly, Missouri, Martha (Russell) Birge of Moberly, Missouri, and Patty (Dale) Kanatzar of Huntsville, Missouri; brother, Robert J. (Lynne) Embree of Alvin, Texas; 5 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 p.m. at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly with Pastor Tom Denton officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Creek Cemetery.
