Dwain Wooten

Dwain Wooten, 76, of Macon, MO, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016, at the Samaritan Hospital in Macon, MO.

Dwain was born on November 1, 1939, in Colgate, OK, the son of Louis and Vernell (Scott) Wooten. He was united in marriage to Peggy Schneider on August 6, 1982. Dwain delivered propane for many years. He enjoyed raising cattle, gardening, swinging under his oak tree, along with visiting and caring for his neighbors.

Dwain is survived by two children, Rhonda Leffkowitz of Kansas City, MO, Scott Adams and his wife Rita of Kansas City, KS; five grandchildren, Ashliegh Binder, Taylor Leffkowitz, Isaac Leffkowitz, Tiffany Langlois, Michael Adams; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Terry Wooten and his wife Tracy of Harrisonville, MO; two sisters, Louise Hook and her husband Kenny of Macon, MO, and Lois Ann Foley and her husband Carl of Moline, IL, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and one son, Garry Wooten.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon with Bro. Jim Bolin officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery south of Bevier, MO. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Monday evening, at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Union Cemetery.
