Eva Kathryn (Beckner) DeShon Foley

Eva Kathryn (Beckner) DeShon Foley, 87, of Blue Springs, MO, formerly of Macon, MO, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at her home in Blue Springs.

Eva was born on October 22, 1927, in Livingston County, MO, the daughter of Burl and Mabel (Bulyar) Beckner. She was united in marriage to William Roy DeShon II on June 14, 1953 in Chillicothe, MO. He preceded her in death on April 27, 1977. She was later united in marriage to Hubert Foley on May 16, 1981 in Macon. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2011. Eva was a member of the First Baptist Church in Macon. She retired as a sales associate from J. C. Penney. Eva enjoyed decorating her home, especially for Christmas, hosting guests in her home, and spending time with her family.

Eva is survived by four children, William Roy DeShon III and his wife Karen of Plattsburg, MO, Joe DeShon of Lees Summit, MO, Kathy DeShon of Blue Springs, MO, and Mark DeShon and his wife Juvy of Moberly, MO, one step-daughter, Betty Tipton and her husband Roger of Macon, MO, five grandchildren, Chad DeShon and his wife Katie, Amy Larry and her husband Erik, Janelle Golden and her husband Gunner, Jeffrey DeShon, and Andrew DeShon, three great-grandchildren, Ellis DeShon, Elijah Larry and Eva Larry, two step-grandchildren, Mike Tipton and his wife Melanie, and Matt Tipton, two step-great grandchildren, Madalyn Tipton and Maddox Tipton. and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, a brother, Kenneth Beckner; a sister, Marion Beckner Cooper; a half-brother, Raymond Beckner; and two half-sisters, Juanita Beckner Kingensmith, and Eulalia Herrin Craig.

Funeral services will be 10 am, Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon with Rev. Mark DeShon officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Salem Cemetery south of Excello, MO. Visitation will be from 9-10 am on Wednesday morning at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Immanuel Baptist Church in Moberly, MO.
