Carrol Lee Bragg, 72 of LaPlata, MO entered his heavenly home on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at his home after losing his battle with cancer.

Carrol Lee was born February 27, 1944 to Otis and June (Marquith) Bragg in the New Harmony Community, east of LaPlata. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Wallen on August 22, 1965 at the LaPlata Community Presbyterian Church and she survives. Also surviving are 3 daughters: Angie Thomas and husband Jeff of Owasso, OK; Alissa Garlock and husband Jason of Brashear, MO; Amy Grahlen and husband Roddy of Owasso, OK; 9 grandchildren: Trae Lee Bragg Treasure & Taren Treasure, Tanna & Tayla Garlock, Brenton & Brooke Thomas, Alivia, Eston & Kenna Grahlen; 1 brother: Ronnie Bragg and wife Karen of LaPlata; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 grandsons: Kenton & Braden Thomas.

Carrol Lee was a high school graduate. For several years he farmed and operated a lawn care business. He was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church in LaPlata.

He was a loving and selfless husband, dad and grandpa aka "Papa or Pops." His family was all of who he loved, cared and provided for with all of his heart and time. His favorite and only hobby was watching his kids and grandkids play sports. He will live on in the hearts of each of these loved ones with a legacy of humility and unconditional love. He used to walk by a card hanging on the fridge that said "On the last day of life, family is all you've got that matters" (author unknown) and would look at it and say "There is a lot of truth to that."

His family plans to carry out his written wishes to be cremated followed by an intimate ceremony with immediate family only.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Presbyterian or Methodist Churches of LaPlata and may be mailed to Carolyn Bragg, 407 E. Caldwell St., LaPlata, MO 63549.

The family was served by Elliott Funeral Home of Atlanta.
