Bettena “Tena” Jane Linebaugh

Bettena “Tena” Jane Linebaugh, age 71 of Marceline, died Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at her home. Tena was born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 8, 1944 to Donald and Evelyn (Phinney) Stewart. She married Donald Lee Linebaugh on January 11, 1969 in Mansfield, Massachusetts.

Tena had worked at Walsworth Publishing and retired after 37 years. She was a member of the Tanglefoot Square Dancers, Green Hills Neighbors Extension Club and a 4-H leader. She was a member of the Marceline First Baptist Church working in the nursery for many years and in the Awana program, and enjoyed feeding and watching birds, playing cards, puzzles, embroidery work, and collecting teacups and saucers.

She is survived by her husband Donald Linebaugh of the home in Marceline, two sons, Steven and Missy Linebaugh, Rothville, Jeffrey and Audra Linebaugh, Marceline, daughter Jean and John Exner, Gorin, sisters, Marcia and Ed Boemmels, Lyman, South Carolina and Donna and Ron Corbett, Hyannis, Massachusetts, eight grandchildren, four step grandchildren, four great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Delaney Funeral Home, Marceline with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Marceline. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday, September 16, 2016 at the funeral home in Marceline.
