Juanita F. Rouse, 95 years old, of Green City, Missouri, passed away Sunday September 11, 2016 at Kirksville Manor Care in Kirksville.

Juanita was born on May 16, 1921, North of Green City to J.O. and Lota (Page) Martin. On December 31, 1938, she married Fletcher Payne Rouse in Kirksville, he preceded her in death on September 15, 2000.

Survivors include: two daughters, Judy Lloyd and husband Junior of Green City and Bonnie Judd and husband Paul of Pharr, Texas; 8 grandchildren, Melodie Lewis and husband Allen, Melanie Peterson and husband Steve, Melinda Hatcher and husband Rod, Martin Lloyd and wife Janet, Paula Gardner and husband Steve, Jason Judd and wife Teresa, Jeff Morehouse and Jenny LaMonaco; 16 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; a son, Paul Payne; 3 brothers; and 7 sisters.

Juanita was the lifelong resident of the Green City area, and was a member of the Praire Chapel United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Lady's Aide of the church. Juanita worked 12 years at McGraw Edison's in Kirksville. Juanita belonged to a card playing club, and loved playing Pitch. She enjoyed canning and making baby quilts. Some of her grandchildren would call her a "Tough Ol Bird."

Funeral services for Juanita will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Green City. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, east of Green City. A visitation is scheduled for 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday evening, at the funeral home.
