Peggy Lee Douglas, 66, of Macon, MO, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016, at the Loch Haven Nursing Home in Macon, MO.

Peggy was born on September 21, 1949, in Macon, MO the daughter of Robert L. and Annie M. (Lampkin) Morton. Peggy was a member of the Bethel AME Church in Macon. She was a registered nurse for many years before retiring. She enjoyed bowling, MU football, other sports, and especially spending time with her family.

She is survived by her mother, Annie Morton of Macon, MO, one son, Derrick Morton and his girlfriend Amy Wilson of Columbia, MO; grandchildren, Tamisha Morton of Columbia, MO, Derrick Morton, Jr. of Columbia, MO, and Jada Kimbrough of Kansas City, MO; two great-grandchildren, Lathon and Layla; three brothers, Roger Morton of Macon, MO, Robert Morton, Jr. of St. Louis, MO, and Cecil Morton of St. Louis, MO; three sisters, Shelly Baughn, Nancy Morton, and Charlene Troy all of Macon, MO; great-aunt, Joann Lampkin; aunt, Marjorie Lampkin; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. Peggy was preceded in death by her father; one brother, Paul Morton; one sister, Jeanine Morton; great-uncle, William Lampkin, Sr.; great-uncle, Johnny Lampkin; two great-aunts, Mary Lee Grant and Darlene Lampkin.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, August 27, 2016, at 12:00 pm at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Macon. Visitation will be Saturday morning from 11 am until the time of service. Family suggests memorials to the Bethel AME Church of Macon.
