Phyllis Kay Rainbolt, 68 years old, of Milan, Missouri, passed away Wednesday August 17, 2016 at Sullivan County Memorial Hospital in Milan.

Phyllis was born on August 18, 1947 in Milan to Frank and Edith (Taylor) Williams. On August 29, 1965, she married Terry Rainbolt at the Asbury Church.

Survivors include: her husband, Terry of the home; four children, Deanna Eitel and husband Paul of Milan, Marla Rainbolt of Milan (Dave Small of Centerville), Robin Knight and husband Chuck of Skiatook, Oklahoma, and Rustin Rainbolt and wife Casey of Moore, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren, Cody Eitel and wife Shelby, Chris Eitel, Kelsey Eitel, Blake Eitel, Hayden Knight, Alex Knight, Parker Knight, Sadie Rainbolt, and Kennedy Rainbolt; two sisters, Anna Mae Swank of Trenton, Missouri, and Pauline Quigley and husband Larry of Holt, Missouri; four nephews, Larry Gene Swank, Brian Swank, Kevin Quigley, and Jason Quigley; several great nieces and nephews; and four special cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother-in-law, Richard Swank; an aunt, Eula Fern Roach; and a special uncle, Paul Taylor.

Phyllis was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County. She was originally a member of the Asbury Methodist Church, and now a member of the Milan United Methodist Church. She graduated from Milan High School in 1965. Phyllis spent all her married life on their farm, west of Milan. She also has worked at Kansas City Life Insurance, the Browning Bank, the Sale Barn through 3 different owners, and Cash Saver. Phyllis was very active in 4-H and FFA youth programs. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and cooking. Phyllis loved her grandkids with all her heart and going to all of their shows, games and activities. She also loved shopping with her sisters.

A funeral service for Phyllis will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the United Methodist Church in Milan. A visitation is scheduled for 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday evening, at Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan. Phyllis's wishes were to be cremated after and a private inurnment will be held at a later date.
