Albert "LeRoy" Yount

Albert “LeRoy” Yount, age 54 of Independence, Missouri left us to be with the Lord on July 12, 2016. With his Mother by his side, he passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord, at Village Hospice at John Knox Village in Lee’s Summit. LeRoy was born in Brookfield, Missouri on October 4, 1961, then moved to Independence with his Mother and siblings at an early age.

He was a welder by trade and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting and watching westerns,

LeRoy is survived by his Mother, Wilma Irene Barton (George) of Independence, sons, Russell “Rusty” James Yount (Kandice), Sugar Creek, Jesse LeRoy Yount (Amy), Mountain Grove, Kent Michael Yount, Binghamton, NY; Kyle Lee Yount, Lebanon, grandchildren, Hayley Nicole Yount, Mackenzie Belle Yount, Ashlynn Jade Yount, Lydia Irene Yount, all of Independence, Sawyer Lincoln Yount, Sugar Creek, Owen William Yount, Mountain Grove, and Devyn and Anzleigh Hayes, Sugar Creek, brothers, Charles Thomas Yount, Kansas City, Samuel “David” Yount (Diane), Independence, half-brother Ronald Lee Yount (Rosie), Sugar Creek, and half-sister Ruschele Lorene Beaver (Clyde) Carthage. LeRoy was preceded in death by his father, Russell Charles Yount.

Graveside services will be held at 3PM Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Masonic Cemetery in Bucklin. Visitation will be held from 1-3 Pm Friday at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline. In honor of the support received from Village Hospice during LeRoy’s last days, the family requests donations to Village Hospice at John Knox Village in Lee’s Summit in lieu of flowers.

As we say farewell to LeRoy and grieve his passing, we take peace in the words of our Lord as written in Psalm 23.
