James Alan Dougherty January 18, 1947 - August 12, 2019

James Alan Dougherty, 72, of Renick, Missouri, passed away on August 12, 2019, at Moberly Nursing and Rehab.

James was born January 18, 1947, to William Paul and Mary (Strouvelle) Dougherty in Moberly, Missouri. He worked as a plumber for University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, for 32 years. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his father, William "Paul" Dougherty, and brother, Laurence Dougherty.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Darleene Dougherty of Renick, Missouri; and mother, Mary Dougherty of Moberly, Missouri.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly, Missouri. Graveside Funeral Service will take place on Monday, August 19, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville, Missouri, under the direction of Million Taylor Funeral Homes.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family asks memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
